We designed the Scotch-Brite™ Primer Prep Scuff to help prep paint areas. It's the first pad in a three-part Scuffing System. When used together, this Scuffing System helps achieve optimum paint adhesion.

Our Scotch-Brite™ Primer Prep Scuff is a non-woven abrasive that comes in a 4-3/4 in x 15 ft roll with perforations for 4-3/4 in x 6 in pads that allow for easy "downsizing." The most aggressive of the 3-part scuff pad system, the Primer Prep Scuff is used to scuff prior to primer for proper mechanical adhesion. The aluminum oxide mineral offers an aggressive and clean cut. Our unique non-woven web is the secret to superior performance. It binds together synthetic fibers and abrasive particles to create a conformable, three-dimensional material. Its open structure reduces the risk of warping or discoloring the part, resists loading, improves finish and prolongs the product's life.
