Our durable Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ SE Surface Conditioning Low Stretch Disc was built to last, resisting wear during high pressure use. The SE disc can be used for cleaning, blending, deburring and finishing on a variety of metals.
Extended Rates of Cut, Superior Edge Durability
Constructed of resin-reinforced non-woven fiber, our Scotch-Brite™ SE Surface Conditioning Low Stretch Disc resists loading and avoids under-cutting or gouging of the workpiece. We engineered this disc to exhibit high initial and extended rates of cut while maintaining superior edge durability.
We also include a woven fabric (scrim) in our conditioning products, which is embedded in the nylon structure to provide additional strength and durability for edge work, deburring and efficient blending of all metal types. The non-woven material combined with abrasive grain is an ideal way to add a great finish or remove burrs.
Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ SE Surface Conditioning Low Stretch Disc is interspersed with aluminum oxide – a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its cut-rate and long life. This mineral is a tough, durable abrasive that self fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional abrasives, such as garnet, quickly wear down with use. Due to its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, aluminum oxide mineral is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing. Aluminum oxide is suitable on a wide variety of substrates in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
3M™ Roloc™ Attachment Expedites Disc Swaps
Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ SE Surface Conditioning Low Stretch Disc features a Roloc™ attachment – which means the disc attaches to a 3M™ Roloc™ backup pad (sold separately). Subsequently, the backup pad attaches to the power tool. With a simple ½ turn, operators can secure the disc to the backup pad and remove it again. We made the Roloc™ attachment system to help expedite tool attachment.
The Many Benefits of Scotch-Brite™ Abrasives
Nonwoven technology makes our Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives unique. A combination of fiber strands, resin, and abrasive mineral forms a thick, open web. The spring-like nature of the fibers responds to contours and effectively removes unwanted burrs, soils, and contaminants while maintaining the geometry of the workpiece, which in turn reduces rework and boosts productivity. Gaps in the web allow swarf to escape, so debris does not clog the mineral. Fibers in the web continually break down with use to reveal fresh mineral for exceptional consistency, superior cut performance, and extremely long service life. Scotch-Brite products may enhance productivity while reducing the need for cleaning chemicals and wire brushes. From aesthetic finishing to weld blending, deburring, and more, Scotch-Brite abrasives work fast and deliver consistent results, part after part.
- Tough, aggressive non-woven disc can tackle heavy-duty deburring and finishing
- Non-woven open web provides superior flexibility for detail work, over contours and edges
- Non-woven open web resists loading, reducing likelihood of part discoloration and prolonging abrasive service life
- Versatile aluminum oxide mineral cuts fast and sharp without significantly marring the workpiece
- Roloc™ attachment for easy and fast disc to tool attachment
- Abrasive Material: Aluminum Oxide
- Attachment Type: TR
- Color: Brown
- Grade: Coarse
- Maximum RPM: 18000 none
- Package Quantity: 100 DISC
