The Hexacon SI-22A-25W Mini Iron is a 25-watt pencil-style soldering iron designed for steady-output soldering applications. As part of Hexacon's A-Series Mini Iron line, the SI-22A features a serviceable design with independently replaceable tip, cord, and handle components, helping simplify maintenance and extend product life.Its slim profile, lightweight balance, and grounded construction make the SI-22A well-suited for electronics assembly, circuit board work, rework operations, and repetitive soldering tasks where control and visibility are important.The SI-22A-25W utilizes Hexacon's nickel-wound heating element design with high-dielectric mica insulation and a conductive stainless-steel core. Each element is manufactured to a ±2% resistance tolerance, fully burnt-in to stabilize wattage, and dielectric-tested at 1200V to support consistent idling temperatures, fast recovery characteristics, and long service life.A burn-resistant neoprene power cord is designed to withstand incidental contact with the iron during normal operation. The three-wire grounded construction enhances operator safety, while the optional Posi-Ground configuration provides less than two millivolts steady-state leakage for MIL-equivalent applications and sensitive electronic components.The fiberglass anti-roll handle remains cool during use, resists common solvents, and is easy to maintain. Combined with the slim stainless-steel element case, the design provides good visibility in detailed soldering applications while offering corrosion resistance and durability.
