The Hexacon SI-21A-20W Mini Iron is a 20-watt pencil-style soldering iron designed for steady-output soldering applications. Part of Hexacon's A-Series Mini Iron line, the SI-21A combines a lightweight, balanced design with serviceable components, making it suitable for production work, rework, repair, and electronics assembly.The SI-21A-20W uses a nickel-wound heating element with high-dielectric mica insulation to help maintain consistent idling temperatures and fast thermal recovery. Hexacon elements are manufactured with a ±2% resistance tolerance, burned in to stabilize wattage, and dielectric tested at 1200 volts for reliable performance and long service life.A burn-resistant neoprene power cord is designed to withstand accidental contact with the iron during operation. The three-wire grounded construction enhances operator safety, while the optional Posi-Ground configuration provides less than two millivolts steady-state leakage for MIL-equivalent applications and sensitive component work.The fiberglass anti-roll handle remains cool during use, resists common solvents, and is easy to clean. A slim stainless-steel element case improves working visibility while providing corrosion resistance. The lightweight, balanced design also supports repetitive soldering tasks throughout the workday.
