3M™ L Handle Clutch Roller Tool

Our 3M™ L Handle Clutch Roller Tool helps technicians ensure consistent wet out of 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape. This tape roller features a spring-loaded brake that allows the 100 mm wide roller to operate only when sufficient pressure is applied. The spring can be tuned by 3M for specific OEM applications to ensure consistent 15 PSI at bondline for optimal adhesion and appearance.

Even the best acrylic foam tapes work only as well as they are applied, and our 3M™ L Handle Clutch Roller is designed to ensure you get the most from ours. This lightweight, easy-to-use tool is specifically designed for use with 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tapes. It features an extremely smooth-operating 100 mm roller with a spring-loaded, clutch-style brake that holds it in place when not in use. This clutch prohibits the roller from turning freely until  the operator applies the correct pressure on the spring to generate a consistent 15 PSI at the bondline – all but ensuring optimal wet out of the foam acrylic tape adhesive to the automotive substrate for maximum adhesion and a sharp, professional appearance. The clutch roller can be pre-tuned by 3M to match specific OEM specifications.

The L handle fits smoothly into the operator’s hand, maximizing tool use and helping reduce operator fatigue. The compact, vertical design of the tool helps ensure precise transfer of pressure from the handle to the roller, and makes for easy tool storage. The wide 100 mm roller delivers consistent pressure across broad parts and tape surfaces.
