The Glyptal GLY-8001-1 red, insulating enamel that can be air-dried or baked. Films of this paint have excellent humidity and salt water resistance as well as dielectric strength. Glyptal 8001 Red offers good heat aging properties and oil resistance. This paint is not suitable for the inside coating of dielectric oil containers.
Suggested for coating motor stators, field coils, end windings, bus bars, and switch bases. It adheres well to molded phenolics and phenolic varnish films. This paint can also be used as a metal primer where some degree of corrosion resistance is needed.
