The Weller FT91000047is a combined particle and gas filter which removes airborne particulates and harmful gases from soldering smoke. The 2 stages of the filter are matched together so that the particle filter gets full at roughly the same time that the gas filter gets saturated. The particle filter is rated at EPA E10 which removes at least 85% of all particles in the air passing through the filter. The gas filter consists of activated carbon granules which offers an enormous surface area through which to capture most of the large poisonous gas compounds.
