Hisco Expands North American Distribution of Solvay Cytec Process Materials

New footprint supports composites industry with complete portfolio for aerospace and industrial applications

HOUSTON—May 2, 2018—Hisco Inc., an employee-owned specialty distribution company with a concentration in the aerospace market, announces it is offering the full Solvay Cytec process materials portfolio throughout North America. Previously the company’s territory included Mexico, through its whollyowned subsidiary HiscoMex, and 26 U.S. states as far west as Minnesota.

“Hisco has enjoyed our partnership with Solvay for the last two years. We are looking forward to the expanded territory relationship and the opportunity to support new customers, as well as continuing the support of our existing customer base, with our signature ‘fast, friendly service,’” said Bob Dill, president and CEO of Hisco.

Hisco became the first authorized distributor of Solvay process materials in Mexico in April 2016. Their partnership expanded in August 2017 to include distribution of the line throughout the eastern half of the United States.

Comprised of vacuum bagging consumables, infusion materials, customized kitting and reusable vacuum systems, process materials are used in prepreg processing, resin infusion, hand layup, filament winding, compression molding of thermoplastic composites and glass lamination.

For more than 45 years, Hisco has delivered value to customers through quality products, process solutions and local inventory. Today, the international branch network includes 38 stocking locations in three countries: the United States, HiscoMex in Mexico and HiscoCan in Canada. Hisco’s Precision Converting facilities provide value-added fabrication, and its Adhesive Materials Group provides an array of custom repackaging. Hisco also offers vendor-managed inventory programs and specialized warehousing for chemical management, logistics services and cold storage. Hisco’s exclusive Documented Cost Savings(DCS) program has saved customers more than $135 million to date. Its supplier base includes manufacturing giants Henkel, Alpha and 3M, to name a few.
