The ESD shielding bag you select depends heavily on your application type. Metal-in bags, otherwise known as “buried” metal bags, are generally more durable and are well-suited to most requirements. Metal-out bags, on the other hand, are engineered for low surface resistance in order to quickly dissipate a static charge. Both options are effective against the threat of ESD.
